Foreigners with legal work permits participate in social insurance and enjoy social insurance benefits in accordance with the law. Social insurance includes pension, unemployment, work-related injury, medical and maternity insurance. The employer shall apply for social insurance registration and declare and pay social insurance premiums for its employees within 30 days from the date of obtainingthe employment certificate.
Ⅰ. How can I apply for social security card?
Upon the social insurance handled by the employers, please apply for the social security card at the Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China and other banks with your passport, work permit and digital photo receipt of your social security card, subject to the current policy of each bank.
