Led by Luo Yude, secretary of the Luohu District Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the team of theoretical studies of the CPC Luohu District Committee organized a group learning of CPC history on March 12.
Mao Jianfeng, a researcher of CPC history studies in the local chronicles office of the Shenzhen municipal government, was invited to deliver a lecture on the theme of staying true to original mission in regard to CPC work in Luohu.
In his lecture, Mao reviewed the Party’s history over the past 100 years, and its unique contribution to the country’s liberation, reform and opening-up, and the cause of the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
He also expounded on the role the Party has played in boosting Luohu’s development.
After listening to the lecture, participants visited an exhibition on Luohu’s history and development achievements, featuring the construction of the Shenzhen Customs, the opening-up of Luohu for pilot reform, the upgrading of public hospitals in the district, Luohu’s shantytown renovation, as well as other key events in the district’s development.
Participants said the group study activity had given them knowledge, confidence, motivation and passion to draw power from the historical memories so that they can better contribute to the construction of Luohu as “an all-embracing hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”.
