CPPCC Luohu Committee starts session
The 6th session of the 5th Luohu Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is convened on January 28.

Wu Yuzhong, chairman of the CPPCC Luohu Committee, delivered a work report, reviewing the advisory body's work over the previous year and presenting plans for the year ahead.
According to Wu, a total of 161 proposals were submitted to the committee in 2020, and 140 were validated and properly addressed.
The year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. It is also the first year of the 14th Five-Year-Plan, as well as the starting year for the new journey of fully building a modern socialist country.
Delegates said the CPPCC Luohu Committee should follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the series of sessions convened by the 19th Central Committee of the CPC, carry into practice the gist of the speech General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered while marking the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and the remarks he made while on an inspection tour of Guangdong province.
The CPPCC Luohu Committee should also observe the directives of the conferences convened by the national, provincial, and municipal CPPCC committees, and undertake work focusing on the deployments set by the CPC Luohu Committee.
It was also stressed that all CPPCC members should contribute their strengthen and wisdom to the building of an all-embracing Luohu, a hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
