Luo Yude proposes national jewelry trading center in Shenzhen
Luo Yude, secretary of the CPC Luohu Committee, proposed to establish a China Shenzhen Jewelry Trading Center during deliberations of the Shenzhen municipal government work report on Jan. 24.
"About 70 percent of the country's jewelry industrial resources are located in Guangdong province, and Shenzhen has been the largest and most influential jewelry production center. We need to build a national jewelry trading center here," he said.
According to Luo, the proposed national jewelry trading center could provide services such as jewelry and raw material display, spot transactions, cross-border trading, product evaluation, research and design, bonded processing and financial services.
This would significantly boost the efforts of building Shenzhen into a city of design and creativity, he stressed.
