The CPC Luohu Committee celebrated CPC members' "political birthday" in the district's archives center on Dec. 31.
The "political birthday" refers to the day one joins the Party.
Presided over by Luohu Party chief Luo Yude, the activity had five parallel sessions. Senior Party and government officials, lawmakers and political advisers took part.
Luo Yude gifted a political birthday commemorative album to 12 Party members. Luo also led participants to review the oath that is taken before joining the Party, and a short video on the mission of Party members was also shown.
Luo said the activitywas significant in the fact that Luohu would normalize the celebration of Party members' "political birthday" as a monthly event in Party organs of various levels in the district.
Luo urgeddistrict Party members to remain true to their original mission, and use the "political birthday" to remind themselves always remain loyal to the Party and the people.
He said the celebration should serve as a regular wake-up call to membersin undertaking their responsibilities, and try their best to make a bigger contribution to building Luohu into an all-embracing hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
