Luohu revitalizes community services with innovative approach
In Luohu's Donghu sub-district, a transformative shift in community service operations is underway, marking a departure from traditional Party-led welfare initiatives toward a more dynamic and socially integrated model. The Donghu Party-Mass Service Center, which was previously operated primarily by the local Party committee to deliver public services, has now expanded its operations to include participation from non-governmental entities, significantly improving its efficiency and effectiveness.
A key aspect of this transformation is the innovative use of underutilized spaces within the center. A 30-square-meter area on the second floor, which had been largely idle, has been repurposed into a temporary office rental space for businesses. This not only generates additional revenue but also fosters a stronger connection between the community and local enterprises. Additionally, the center has optimized its first-floor service area by introducing 13 shared office seats, providing flexible working spaces for both businesses and individuals.
Since adopting this diversified model, the Donghu Party-Mass Service Center’s daily foot traffic has skyrocketed by 580%. Impressively, 85% of the center’s available space is now actively in use, turning the facility into a vibrant hub of community engagement and services.
In addition to these changes, the center has partnered with 21 offline training schools across the district to offer professional development programs. To date, 60 individuals have benefited from these training opportunities, with 46 successfully completing the courses and securing employment.
Through its focus on personalization and accessibility, the Donghu Party-Mass Service Center continues to cater to the needs of residents across all age groups, from children to the elderly. By offering inclusive services that address the entire demographic spectrum, the center has strengthened its role as a trusted and beloved community resource.
