Digitalization in Luohu paves the way for a smart, efficient community
In Luohu district, digitalization is steadily shaping a more efficient, convenient, and intelligent urban environment. With new digital applications and evolving technologies, Luohu is building a future-ready, connected community that residents eagerly anticipate.
One example of this transformation is the smart pole system installed in Hubei New Village, designed to address the need for short-term parking. For instance, residents running errands or delivery drivers making quick stops can use designated parking for up to five minutes. If they exceed this limit, a broadcast alert is issued. Persistent violations prompt a notification to security personnel, easing the burden on local staff and streamlining incident management.
Additionally, Luohu is harnessing big data and AI technology within Mumianling Community, deploying over 400,000 IoT sensors. These devices monitor critical infrastructure in real-time, capturing over 100 types of data points, including road conditions.
According to Yu Mianxin, a representative from the Luohu District Administrative Services and Data Management Bureau, “Building a smart community enhances residents' sense of safety and fulfillment. We are working closely with enterprises, assisting them in obtaining necessary certifications to facilitate their innovations within the community. Together, we’re creating a smarter Luohu.”
