Luohu launches initiatives to promote legal awareness and community harmony
On Friday, Luohu introduced three major initiatives aimed at enhancing legal awareness among residents, fostering a harmonious community, and providing one-stop services for businesses.
These initiatives for enterprise support, legal education, and community governance are designed to leverage the high knowledge level and professional skills to address the needs of business development and community dispute resolution.
During the event, certificates were awarded to 53 volunteer service providers from Luohu New Social Stratum Association, various democratic parties, and the Association of Non-Party Intellectuals. These volunteers possess expertise in fields such as law, accounting, taxation, and psychological counseling.
The day’s activities began with a lecture on "Latest Amendments to Company Law: Legal Responsibilities and Tax Risk Prevention." This marked the start of the initiative for enterprise support, which aims to address local businesses' needs in areas such as employee rights protection, tax issues, and the live-streaming economy. The initiative will provide convenient, high-quality, and efficient one-stop services through themed salon events, WeChat group consultations, and in-person visits.
Under the legal education initiative, volunteer service providers will conduct at least one public legal lecture every two months, focusing on topics such as infringement disputes, property management, and family law. These lectures are designed to promote legal knowledge, strengthen residents' awareness of the rule of law, and reinforce the legal foundation within the community.
Dongmen Community, located in a busy commercial area, often experiences conflicts between residents, merchants, customers, property owners, and tenants. A representative from Dongmen Community stated, "By selecting Dongmen Community as one of the pilot areas, this initiative will benefit thousands of residents, with wide coverage and strong targeting, significantly improving community governance efficiency."
The community governance initiative aims to build a harmonious community by establishing mediation workgroups. Volunteers will use their expertise in law and psychology to assist community mediators in resolving disputes and providing training on legal knowledge and psychological counseling techniques. This will enhance the professionalism and standardization of the mediator team, empowering community mediators and safeguarding community harmony.
