Luohu's 10-minute cultural and sports service circle benefits residents
Taking a leisurely stroll through a park, browsing books in a nearby library, or enjoying a weekend fashion exhibition has become a daily routine for residents of Luohu. This lifestyle is largely thanks to the district's ongoing efforts to create a "10-minute cultural and sports service circle."
Currently, Luohu has developed a comprehensive public cultural service network that spans across district, sub-district, and community levels. This network includes 10 sub-district-level cultural and sports centers, 24 “U·Libraries,” nine "happy reading" community libraries, and 81 community comprehensive cultural service centers and libraries.
For instance, the Luohu Gymnasium offers spacious facilities and a variety of sports programs. To enhance the summer experience for residents, the center has introduced new training courses and extended its operating hours. Mr. Zeng, a local resident, praised the gymnasium's professional coaching team and the high-quality water in the swimming pool, saying, "We feel very comfortable bringing our children here for exercise."
In addition, Luohu launched sports vouchers during the summer, allowing residents to enjoy both fun and discounts. After a workout, those in the mood for a more relaxed activity can visit the Huangbei Sub-district Cultural and Sports Center, just a ten-minute walk from Luohu Gymnasium. Ms. Luo noted, "The center offers a wide range of activities almost every day of the week. We usually go to Luohu Gymnasium for morning training and then head to the center to read books."
