Luohu and SUSTech establish partnership for basic education initiatives
On April 2, the Luohu District Government signed an agreement with the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) to collaborate on basic education. The first initiative under this agreement is the establishment of the Luohu Affiliated Middle School of SUSTech.
Moving forward, both parties will engage in comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in talent cultivation, academic development, faculty exchange, and school management. Together, they aim to establish a distinctive, innovative, and modern institution for basic education with high quality. The collaboration aims to explore seamless integration between basic and higher education in talent cultivation, leveraging the university's research strengths to enhance the quality of basic education curriculum. Furthermore, innovative pathways for teacher training will be developed to contribute Luohu's wisdom to the advancement of high-quality education and innovation reform.
Fan Defan, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Luohu District Committee, expressed a commitment to advancing together with SUSTech, expanding cooperation in areas such as industry-university-research institution collaboration, basic education, and talent development. He expressed a desire for strengthened collaboration to fully utilize SUSTech's innovative strength and talent advantages, thereby injecting technological vitality into Luohu's educational environment.
