Luohu embraces tourism innovation with helicopter sightseeing and camping boom
Recently, Luohu has hosted two cultural and tourism-themed extravaganzas, captivating locals and tourists alike. The first event featured commercial helicopter sightseeing flights soaring over the breathtaking vistas of the Da Wutong Ecological Integration Area. Concurrently, the vibrant "Camping Culture Week" unfolded during the 9th Rhododendron Flower Festival. This celebration saw numerous camping sites across the region participating, delving into the rich cultural tapestry of camping by blending outdoor sports with leisure tourism.
As the new camping season approaches, projections indicate a burgeoning camping economy in China, with an anticipated market scale surpassing 248.32 billion yuan by 2025, propelling the overall market value beyond the trillion-yuan mark. Recognizing the burgeoning interest in camping, Luohu has strategically embraced camping as a burgeoning trend. The district has partnered with the renowned Dawang Wutong Campsite to curate a series of themed camping activities, offering an array of scene services that combine the joys of camping with low-altitude flights.
Nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of the Wutong Mountain Scenic Area lies the Yunque Wutong Campsite. Since its inception in November 2022, the campsite has hosted over 1000 parent-child experience camps and facilitated more than a hundred outdoor weddings. Notably, on March 13 this year, Luohu made waves by inaugurating commercial helicopter sightseeing flights in the Dawutong Ecological Integration Area, with a temporary helipad erected within the Wutong Campsite premises.
Chen Hong, the astute Marketing Director of the Wutong Campsite, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support received from Luohu District. Bolstered by this support, the Wutong Campsite recently unveiled two urban low-altitude transportation operation centers, catering to sightseeing enthusiasts in the North of Wutong Mountain Community and Wutong Mountain Haohan Po. These centers offer a trio of mesmerizing sightseeing routes, including the Stream Valley Experience Line, the Aerial Worship Line, and the Beautiful Wutong Line, all geared towards regular commercial operation. Ticket prices range from 399 to 980 yuan, catering to the diverse preferences of citizens and tourists and championing the growth of low-altitude tourism economy.
Previously, Luohu rolled out the "Ten Tourism Measures," aiming to foster the development of distinctive local tourism products. Leveraging the unique spatial layout characterized by "half mountains and waters, half urban areas," the city has established the largest camping site cluster in the region within the Dawutong Ecological Integration Area, boasting four park grassland campsites and eight Dawang Wutong campsites.
