Luohu Port launches payment facilitation service for overseas tourists
A payment facilitation service tailored for international visitors has been launched at Luohu Port through a collaboration between the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) Shenzhen Branch and the Luohu Port Hong Kong Residents Service Center. Unveiled on March 24, the service includes volunteer assistance, aiming to enhance the experience for overseas tourists.
Through this service, overseas tourists can easily obtain a multi-functional e-CNY hardware wallet by presenting their passports. With this wallet, holders can conduct daily transactions such as dining, shopping, and travel without reliance on a mobile phone or internet connection. The e-CNY hardware wallet offers various benefits including convenient access, user-friendly interface, and robust privacy features, making it a vital solution to fulfill the payment requirements of short-term visitors from abroad.
ICBC Shenzhen Branch has strategically installed e-CNY ATMs at ports and airports to facilitate the process. International tourists can swiftly apply for an e-CNY hardware wallet and top it up with foreign currency notes within minutes.
Situated at the subway transportation floor of Luohu Port, adjacent to the checkpoint, the Luohu Port Hong Kong Residents Service Center serves as a convenient hub for travelers. It houses an assistance service center equipped to provide support in both Cantonese and English, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors.
