Luohu focuses three sectors to foster new quality productive forces
Luohu's Qingshuihe area is concentrating its efforts on three key sectors: software information and technology services, modern fashion, and the big health industries. Additionally, it is actively developing strategic emerging industries to unlock their potential for growth.
The China-Europe Innovative Medicine and Health Research Center is dedicated to advancing basic research, facilitating industrial transformation, and fostering investment and financing opportunities. Its overarching goal is to establish an innovative platform for the biomedicine services ecosystem, positioning Luohu as a world-leading hub for the biomedicine industry.
Throughout 2023, Luohu implemented a series of regulations spanning various sectors, including digital RMB, the tourism industry, wealth management, and the low-altitude economy. These measures are aimed at nurturing industrial chains and cultivating new, high-quality productive forces.
The district saw a significant increase in its roster of innovative companies, welcoming a total of 168 such enterprises, including ten nationally recognized innovative small and medium-sized enterprises. Moreover, strategic emerging enterprises grew by 19.69% compared to 2022, while the number of high-tech enterprises surged by 21.4% year-on-year. The district also saw a notable increase in the number of patents, with 5,469 patents in valid status, reflecting a 37.03% year-on-year rise.
Looking ahead, the district plans to capitalize on its strengths in the service industry. It aims to anchor high-quality development by fostering high-end, clustered, and internationally-oriented service industries. Additionally, the district intends to enhance its innovative capacity and bolster advantageous industries through the application of digitalization technologies, according to Zheng Yujie, assistant president of the China Development Institute.
