Luohu steps up efforts in balancing ecology, economy
A program themed Luohu's Dawang-Wutong ecological integration zone has been officially released. Produced by the Publicity Department of the CPC Luohu Municipal Committee and filmed by the Luohu District Converged Media Center, the program aims to showcase Luohu's efforts in spearheading green development across Guangdong Province.
The Dawang-Wutong zone, located in Shenzhen's central area, echoes the Mountain-Sea Connection Plan proposed by the Shenzhen Municipal Government Work Report.
Wang Peng, deputy chief planner of the Urban Planning and Design Institute of Shenzhen and deputy director of its second planning office, said, "Luohu District will leverage the Dawang-Wutong zone to create a new development pattern characterized green and prosperity, while also innovating a paradigm for the governance of ecological space in megacities that harmoniously integrates mountains, rivers, people, and cities."
Furthermore, Wang Jie, deputy minister of the Investment Strategy Department of the Luohu Key Area Development Center, noted, "Luohu District is fueling the high-quality development of 'Three Strengths and Three Zones' through ecological empowerment, exploring harmonious coexistence between ecological protection and economic growth. In the initial planning stages, we have been considering how to balance these dual imperatives, ensuring that our actions safeguard both ecological integrity and economic progress."
