Shenzhen Metro introduces two virtual ticket options
On Feb. 1, the Shenzhen Metro officially introduced two virtual ticket options: the virtual child ticket and the virtual date ticket. The virtual child ticket follows the same ticketing rules as the regular child ticket, offering a 50% discount for children between 1.2 meters to 1.5 meters in height or aged 6 to 14. In comparison to the regular child ticket, the virtual child ticket further enhances ticketing efficiency, reducing waiting times for children and allowing them to pass through the gates concurrently with adults, ensuring a safer travel experience.
The virtual date ticket includes options for a "virtual one-day ticket" priced at 25 yuan and a "virtual three-day ticket" priced at 75 yuan, aligning with the costs of physical date tickets. These virtual date tickets are available for purchase online through the Shenzhen Metro app and Shenzhen Metro WeChat mini-program.
Additionally, the Shenzhen Metro has implemented a categorization of strong and weak air-conditioned carriages, and the trains are equipped with wireless charging facilities, enhancing the overall convenience of the commuting experience.
