Luohu's Taojinshan Greenway listed as provincial science popularization base
Luohu's Taojinshan Greenway Nature Education Center was recently recognized as a provincial educational base for popularization of science and technology. In a conference held on January 13, the Luohu District Nature Education Center conducted a review of its 2023 activities and expressed gratitude for the public's active participation in safeguarding the natural environment of Luohu.
More than 130 individuals including government officials, park staff, and volunteers participated in the event.
In 2023, Luohu district utilized nature resources of Taojinshan Greenway, Wutong Greenway as well as Luohu Talent Park, engaging more than 3,000 people in about 60 public activities. In addition, Luohu also cultivated 26 volunteers, and provided training to 38 primary and secondary school students to be guides.
Furthermore, the district established a platform for the public to log phenological records, contributing valuable data to Shenzhen's local phenological database.
In 2024, Luohu will collaborate with various stakeholders to organize more nature education events for the public.
