Luohu to have 80 community healthcare institutions by 2025
Luohu will have 80 community healthcare institutions by 2025, according to the Luohu District Community Health Service Institution Planning (2023-2030) released recently.
The plan also calls for the government to increase its ownership of community health service agencies. By 2025, the government-owned share of community health service agencies is expected to reach 64%, and by 2030, it is expected to reach 70%.
The plan is part of Luohu's efforts to improve the quality of its healthcare system. In 2023, Luohu was awarded as a comprehensive experimental zone for high-quality development of primary health care of Guangdong province.
The plan will advance the adjustment of community health service institutions in the district, improve the grassroots health service network, and promote the high-quality development of grassroots health services.
Luohu also plans to designate one community health service agency in each street and community to be responsible for medical and public health services in that area. This will help to clarify the responsibilities of community health service agencies and improve the efficiency of the healthcare system.
In addition, Luohu will encourage community health service agencies to develop their own strengths and specialties. This will help to create a more diversified and responsive healthcare system.
