Luohu Art Museum hosts calligraphy exhibition
Recently, Luohu Art Museum presented a calligraphy exhibition featuring 130 pieces of work created by renowned calligrapher Xu Benyi. The exhibition will last until January 7.
In the past 40 years, Luohu, as the earliest developed area in Shenzhen, has gathered a large number of calligraphers from all corners of the country. This has revitalized traditional calligraphy in the city, making it a significant force driving the prosperous development of cultural and artistic endeavors in Shenzhen.
Since 2017, Luohu District Literary Federation has innovated its literary and artistic development model by establishing several studios for renowned artists. One of them is the Xu Benyi Calligraphy Studio, which was officially established in February 2018.
Through a series of activities such as calligraphy lectures, artwork critiques, creative guidance, seminars, field trips, and exhibitions, the studio facilitates face-to-face interactions and learning opportunities for its members and calligraphy enthusiasts with the master calligrapher. This has resulted in a rich atmosphere for calligraphy creation.
