Luohu hosts aerial photo exhibition on Shenzhen culture
Luohu Art Museum hosts an aerial photo exhibition showcasing history and culture of Shenzhen on Tuesday. Running until Dec. 3, the exhibition featured captivating photos taken in more than 150 locations across 11 districts in Shenzhen. The photographs portrayed a diverse range of subjects, including ancient villages, cultural and artistic landmarks, urban architecture, historical sites, ancestral halls, and intangible cultural heritage.
As the earliest district in Shenzhen, Luohu holds a unique position as a witness to many of the city's significant milestones. Iconic landmarks such as Luohu Port, Luohu Bridge, Hubei Village, and the Shenzhen Opera Theater encapsulate the profound history of this vibrant city.
The Diwang Tower in Luohu district has been honored as one of Shenzhen's inaugural historical buildings. In 2018, it was included in the list of China's 20th Century Architectural Heritage Project.
Visitors to the exhibition will have the opportunity to delve into the origins of Shenzhen, exploring Nantou Ancient Town, Dalang Fashion Town, and the Hakka ancient villages within the city.
The exhibition will be held in 11 districts of Shenzhen, aiming to demonstrate history and culture of Shenzhen as well as tell stories of its people.
