Upgraded rest station opened at Luohu Railway Station
A 52-square-meter rest station, or little yellow cabin, was recently opened at the Luohu Railway Station close to the Luohu Port. More such rest stations will be built in the district of Luohu to bring convenience to the people, particularly tourists.
Around 100 people use the rest station every day, which is managed by community workers. The cabin offers users air-conditioning, drinking water, food, convenience receptacles, books, printing facilities, and first-aid services.
Such stations, though of a smaller and downgraded version of about 10 square meters, first appeared in Shenzhen in 2011, when the city hosted the FISU World University Games.
