Dance co-produced by Shenzhen and Hong Kong national award finalist
A contemporary dance "Six Gentlemen," jointly produced by the Luohu Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Hong Kong Dance Company, and Shenzhen Dancers Association, became a finalist for the 13th China Dance Lotus Award, the only national awards for dancing in China.
The dance involves six dancers representing six different kinds of trees and combines martial arts with dance, demonstrating traditional Chinese culture’s stress on “harmony in diversity.”
The music uses sound effects from natural environments to bring the audience an immersive and enjoyable experience. Meanwhile, the costume design is simple, providing the dancers the freedom of movement to perform in a fluid manner.
The dance shows Luohu’s contribution to promoting exchanges among artists and dancers between Hong Kong and Shenzhen and facilitating high-quality arts.
