Luohu dance drama trial performance initiated
The trial performance of In Deep Love With You, a dance drama, kicked off in Luohu on March 21.
This is the first original contemporary dance drama themed around the future and artificial intelligence technology in the country.
At present, it has been shortlisted for the final evaluation of the 13th Chinese Dance “Lotus Award,” a top national professional dance art award.
The publicity office of the Communist Party of China Luohu Committee is one of the producers of the drama, which will be performed for the public at the Bay Opera of Shenzhen on March 30.
The play, which takes place in Shenzhen, a city of science, technology, and innovation, explores current hot topics in the form of art, namely, how will humans and artificial intelligence develop together?
The play will be performed six times at Shenzhen’s Bay Opera between March 30 to April 2. The play will then launch a national tour, traveling to Foshan, Nanjing, Chongqing, and Shanghai, among other places.
In the first half of this year, the troupe will tour 19 cities in China and strive to complete 50 performances by the end of 2023. The creative team will absorb the opinions and suggestions of experts and audiences, further refine and improve the artistic quality of their dance drama, and strive to make it an influential contemporary dance drama at home and abroad.
Luohu attaches great importance to the cultivation of talents in the fields of culture and art. At the same time, it adheres to policy guidance to comprehensively improve the art support system in terms of policies, funds, and talent.
Currently, the area has seven art masters and workshops, 11 art associations, and more than 200 art organizations.
