Ruyi Road project progresses smoothly
The concreting of the first continuous beam of the Zhangbei Overpass on the south extension project of the Ruyi Road was recently finished. The smooth completion of the beam marks the start of the construction stage of the bridge's superstructure.
Once the project is finished, the time it will take to go by car from the downtown Longgang district to Liantang Port will be reduced to 30 minutes.
The Zhangbei Overpass will have a total length of 1,636.16 meters and cover an area of 30,664 square meters.
The Ruyi Road project will help strengthen the connection between Longgang and the Eastern Transit Channel and between the eastern part of Shenzhen and the city’s downtown area as well as between Hong Kong, Huizhou, and Shantou.
The project is also expected to help relieve traffic pressure on Zhangbei Road and Baohe Road, with more public traffic services to be provided via the route in the Zhangbei area.
