Shenzhen’s first industrial tourism park opens in Luohu
The KingWay Tower industrial tourism park of Luohu, the first tourism industrial park in the district as well as Shenzhen, opened on the morning of March 8.
At the project’s opening ceremony, 15 tourism enterprises also signed cooperation agreements with the Luohu district government, the park's operator, marking the start of their operations in the industrial park.
Luohu hopes the project will boost the high-quality development of its tourism industry and encourage practitioners in the industry to actively follow trends in the industry’s future development, with an emphasis on mass participation.
The second and the third phases of the project will also look to attract more leading tourism companies to Luohu, according to Luohu mayor Fan Defan. Currently, Luohu has a total of more than 470 travel agencies, accounting for nearly 40% of the city’s total, among which 135 are outbound travel agencies, accounting for nearly 60% of the city’s total.
Luohu has released an action plan to promote the high-quality development of the tourism industry from 2023-25 as well as numerous support policies, according to which the district government provides tourism companies that meet its requirements with various subsidies, including housing rental subsidies that can cover up to 50% of their rent during their first year of operation in the KingWay Tower tourism industrial park.
