Shenzhen-Taiwan cooperation deepens
Currently, there are over 8,200 Taiwan enterprises operating in Shenzhen, showcasing the deepening economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
To further instill confidence in Taiwan entrepreneurs to invest in Shenzhen, the city issued the 4.0 version of its Taiwan-friendly policy compilation in August of last year. This compilation comprises 191 policies across 20 aspects, aimed at providing Taiwan compatriots with comprehensive, accurate, and accessible information on various Taiwan-friendly policies. The goal is to effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of Taiwan compatriots and their businesses.
On March 26th of last year, the first flight since the resumption of direct flights across the Taiwan Straits departed from Shenzhen's Bao'an International Airport. On the same day, a flight took off from Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport and landed in Shenzhen. The gradual resumption of flights between Shenzhen and Taiwan has fostered closer economic and cultural cooperation between the two sides.
In Nov. 2023, the fourth Cross-Straits Student Baseball League Finals were held in Shenzhen, with a total of 32 teams and 840 players from both sides of the Straits participating. This event has emerged as a significant platform for cultural and sports exchanges between the two sides.
