Shenzhen legislature does a good job
The Standing Committee of the Shenzhen People’s Congress, the city’s top
legislature, has faithfully fulfilled its responsibilities over the
past year.
For example, Shenzhen released a regulation relating to
intelligent connected vehicles in August last year, solving some key
problems regarding the registration and licensing of such vehicles.
In
addition, it actively solicits opinions from society to make sure the
regulations on medical services and pre-school education better reflect
the demands of the people and comply with the actual conditions of the
city.
It also strengthened inspections on law enforcement in the
fields of intellectual property rights protection and household garbage
classification. It stepped up its efforts to evaluate the implementation
of the regulations on technology innovation and green finance to gain
first-hand references for their future amendments.
The lawmakers also
actively reached out to entrepreneurs and local residents to better
understand their practical concerns and views on the government’s
legislative work.
