The 10th China (Shenzhen) International Fashion Festival opens in Luohu
The 10th China (Shenzhen) International Fashion Festival commenced on
Saturday in Luohu, Shenzhen. Organized by the Shenzhen Fashion Designers
Association and the China Textile and Apparel Education Society, the
event celebrates a decade of fostering innovation and collaboration in
the global fashion industry.
Under the theme "Grand Bay Area, Global
Share," the festival emphasizes design and talent as key drivers of
progress. It features a series of competitions, showcases, and forums
designed to inspire innovation and bolster the new quality productive
force of the modern fashion industry.
The opening ceremony brought
together domestic and international fashion elites, including
representatives from renowned brands, organizations, and academic
institutions.
Chen Qianwen, vice chairperson of the Shenzhen
Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative
Conference, reflected on the festival’s journey over the past ten years.
She emphasized its role as a vital platform for cross-border exchange
and collaboration among global designers and brands. Chen also noted
that the festival served as both a testament to Shenzhen’s cultural
confidence and a platform to showcase its competitive edge in the
international fashion arena.
A highlight of the opening ceremony was
the finals of the 9th China International Fashion Design Innovation
Contest. The competition creatively blended elements of traditional
Chinese clothing with contemporary fashion aesthetics. The designs
showcased the dynamic creativity of the new generation of fashion
designers, demonstrating a perfect balance between tradition and
modernity.
