Shenzhen ranks first among China’s top 100 foreign trade cities
Shenzhen ranked first among China’s top 100 foreign trade cities for 2022, according to a recently released list by an information platform under the General Administration of Customs.
Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhuhai, and Foshan ranked fifth, eighth, ninth, and twelfth, respectively. Shanghai and Suzhou in Jiangsu province secured the second and third positions for two consecutive years.
A total of 60 cities from the eastern regions were listed among China's top 100 foreign trade cities, while 26 cities from the central regions made the list. Western and northeastern regions had 10 and 4 cities on the list, respectively.
Out of the top 20 cities with the highest foreign trade volume, 14 are also included in the top 20 for comprehensive foreign trade competitiveness.
The average growth rate of the import and export values of the top 100 foreign trade cities was 7.1% in 2022, which is lower than the national overall foreign trade growth rate.
