25th China High-Tech Fair kicks off in Shenzhen
The 25th China High-Tech Fair (CHTF), the largest and most influential technology exhibition in China, commenced in Shenzhen on Nov. 15. During the opening ceremony, Wang Weizhong, deputy secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and governor of Guangdong province, highlighted the fair's significance as a gateway for China's high-tech sector to the world and as a platform for the industrialization of high-tech achievements.
Wang added that Guangdong is currently advancing its goals of becoming a strong province in education, scientific innovation and talent development. It is actively supporting the development of high-tech enterprises and high-tech industries, with the aim of becoming an industrial and technological innovation center with global influence.
Guo Tingting, vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce, spoke in her address about the importance of global collaboration in promoting the global layout of innovation chains, deepening open innovation cooperation, and sharing the fruits of innovation development. She encouraged attendees to make full use of the CHTF as an important platform for negotiation and cooperation, injecting momentum into the integration of science, industry and trade, as well as enhancing international economic and technological exchanges.
The 25th CIHTF from Nov. 15-19 encompassed exhibitions, conferences, forums and other activities and attracted a total of 4,925 exhibitors from 105 countries and regions. The fair covered a total area of 500,000 square meters this year, making it the largest and most diverse edition to date.
