The 5th International Water Association Resource Recovery Conference concludes in Luohu
The fifth International Water Association Resource Recovery Conference concluded on Nov. 3 in Luohu District, Shenzhen. This three-day conference brought together domestic and foreign academicians, research scholars, and industry representatives to engage in discussions on topics such as water reuse,waste resource utilization, and environmental management. Its objective was to construct an open and diverse platform for collaboration and communication, sharing the latest research findings and practical experiences in sustainable development and exploring the significant challenges and key opportunities facing sustainable development globally, thereby contributing valuable insights and experiences to global sustainable development.
As a national demonstration zone for the innovative sustainable development agenda, Shenzhen attaches great importance to water resource conservation and recycling. It adheres to the principles of sourcing and conserving water, taking the lead in implementing a tiered water pricing system and focusing on optimizing and enhancing water use efficiency.
The conference consisted of 10 sub-forums dedicated to sustainable development topics such as bioenergy conversion, technological innovation, and data economy. Additionally, five academic workshops were held concurrently during the conference, aiming to collectively address scientific research innovation and technological development within the field of sustainable development.
