Shenzhen to host Greater Bay Area-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum
The upcoming 2024 Greater Bay Area-ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum, set for November 12-14 in Shenzhen's Qianhai International Conference Center, aims to strengthen cooperation between the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN to focus on technology-driven cooperation and industrial mutual benefit. Hosted by the China-ASEAN Center and the Shenzhen government, this forum includes keynote speeches, thematic forums, networking sessions, and a food culture week to foster exchanges in technology, trade, and investment.
This year’s forum will feature sub-forums on digital transformation, cross-border e-commerce, and tech innovation, with events like the China-ASEAN Think Tank Cooperation Forum. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit Shenzhen's leading tech zones and attend High-Tech Fair exhibits.
The forum, initiated last year, has become a critical annual event. In its inaugural session, it established significant partnerships, formed business and think-tank alliances, and achieved investment agreements totaling 12.1 billion RMB. Marked as a key project in China's "Belt and Road" initiative and a focus for China's "Five Homes" construction report, the forum reflects Shenzhen's unique role as a China-ASEAN economic hub.
